🎣 Who I Am

I’m not your pro angler—just a dad who loves chasing largemouth bass and taking photos of houses.
Yeah, I know… weird combo. But bass fishing is my passion, and real estate photography is my business.

Whether I’m flipping a jig or fumbling with camera settings, I’m learning with every cast—and having an absolute blast doing it.

From time to time, I’ll bring y’all behind the scenes of my real estate photography life too. It’s not always glamorous, but it’s real—and sometimes just as chaotic as a windy day on the water.

🐟 Where It All Started

I grew up fishing the Texas City Dike. Every Saturday morning, my dad would yank the covers off me before the sun even thought about rising—but I was already dressed head to toe, socks, shoes and all. I’d be so excited the night before, I’d pick out my fishing outfit and sleep in it like it was Christmas morning.

We’d cast out leaded treble hooks loaded with live shrimp, then sit back and wait for the best feeling in the world—that thump thump on the rod tip. If you know, you know. Ain’t nothing like it.

My dad was my fishing coach and my hero. Right alongside the Saturday morning legends—Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston—he taught me everything. Now that I’m a father of three, I finally get it.

I get why he took me every chance he had. Even when money was tight, when we didn’t have much for live bait, when the gas tank was flirting with empty… we still went. Because he wanted me to feel that fight on the other end of the rod. To feel that joy.

I love that man more than I ever said out loud—and I owe a lot of who I am to those early mornings on the water with him.

🛶 Why I’m Doing This

So now, with JC Fishing, I’m just trying to pay it forward—share what I learned from my dad, and maybe help somebody else fall in love with fishing the way I did.

And let’s be real… I’m having the best time doing it. That’s what matters most.

Some days I’m out kayak fishing at sunrise, soaking in the peace before the world wakes up. Other days, I’m in the garage tearing open another box of tackle I probably didn’t need—but you never know when that one bait might be “the one,” right?

Then there are the days I get to pass it all down—loading the kids up, handing them a rod, watching them figure it out just like I did. That’s the real win. That’s the good stuff.

I’m not here to be famous or fancy. I’m here to fish hard, laugh loud, and share what I’ve got with whoever wants to come along for the ride.
